The FRS Sylt ferry departs from the Danish island of Römö at Havneby harbor. On Sylt, the ferry takes you and your bike on board at the port in List. You can reach both ports via well-maintained bike paths. If you arrive by car and want to leave your vehicle at the harbor, you will find plenty of parking spaces on Römö near the dock - many of them are even free of charge. In List on Sylt, free parking is available for you directly opposite the harbor.
Our FRS Sylt ferries "RömöExpress" and "SyltExpress" shuttle up to 32 times daily between Havneby on Römö and List on Sylt. In summer, the last ferry departs for Römö at 9 pm. This way you can enjoy Sylt particularly long.

The car ferries are a particularly inexpensive way to reach Sylt. Our prices for cars apply to vehicles up to 6 metres in length. All accompanying persons are already included in the price. A reservation is free of charge.

With up to 32 departures daily, you remain relaxed and flexible. Simply show your ticket at the departure. Our staff will assign you a place for your bike. You do not need any ropes or the like to secure it. After arriving at your destination, simply push your bike off the boat without any hurry. Off in the saddle on a nice trip!
What do I have to consider when traveling to Sylt by bike?
The most convenient way to buy a ticket is online. However, you can also buy your ticket directly on site at the ticket counter. Please show your ticket at the ticket counter. With a reservation, you can push your bike directly on board. Our staff will assign you a parking space. You do not need any ropes or similar to secure it. You must leave the parking deck during the crossing. An announcement announces when you may re-enter the parking decks.
How often does the ferry depart?

Do I have to book online or can I also travel spontaneously with FRS Syltfähre?
You can also buy a ticket spontaneously at the ticket counter. However, with a free online reservation, you enjoy a guaranteed ride without waiting times.
Can I stay in the car during the crossing to Sylt?

How long before departure do I have to be at the pier?
Plan to arrive at the pier 20-40 minutes before departure. After showing your ticket, you will go directly on board.
What dimensions may my bike have?
There are no size limits for bicycles on board the FRS Syltfähre. Trailers and trolleys cost extra.
Do people cost extra?
Persons are already included in the price of the crossing.
Are there any restrictions on luggage bags?
Your panniers can stay on the bike during the crossing. There are no restrictions or surcharges.
Can I take a bicycle trailer with me?
Your trailer or trolley also has room on board the FRS Syltfähre. The prices for trailers you will find here.
Can I charge my e-bike on the ride?
There is currently no charging option for e-bikes on the FRS Syltfähre.
What happens if I am too early/too late?
The FRS Syltfähre has never left anyone "standing". If there is space you can also board earlier or later than planned.
Can I make duty-free purchases on the trip?
You can store duty-free in the Travel Value Shop on board the "SyltExpress". A selection of products is also available on the "RömöExpress".
