You can reach the FRS Syltfähre comfortably by semi-trucks, sprinters, vans, heavy haulage, etc. on the Island Römö. The approach via Denmark and the toll-free car causeway leads through a beautiful landscape and is extremely relaxing. At the pier in Havneby, you can drive directly onto the ferry with your semi-trucks,sprinters, vans, heavy haulage, etc. Once on the ferry you can start your break required by law.
The crossing can also be used as resting time for your driver, who receives a coffee or soft drink as well as the dish of the day or a sandwich for free on board of the FRS Syltferries.

What do I have to consider when traveling to Sylt by truck?

What documents do I need for the crossing to Sylt?
For entry into Denmark, the driver and all passengers need a valid identity card or passport and the loading papers.
For the crossing with the FRS Syltfähre a ticket is required. You can book the ticket for your drivers in advance by phone or by mail. All you need is your customer number and the reservation is quick and easy. Your driver can also buy the ticket directly at the ticket office on site.
Does the crossing count as a rest period?
The 40-minute crossing with the FRS Syltferry is considered a legally required break for drivers. Your driver receives a free coffee or soft drink and a daily meal or sandwich on board the FRS Syltferries.
