When paying by direct debit via the costumer account, the drivers get on board the FRS Syltfähre cashless, contact-free and fast.
You can reach the FRS Syltfähre comfortably by semi-trucks, sprinters, vans, heavy haulage, etc. on the Island Römö. The approach via Denmark and the toll-free car causeway leads through a beautiful landscape and is extremely relaxing. At the pier in Havneby, you can drive directly onto the ferry with your semi-trucks,sprinters, vans, heavy haulage, etc. Once on the ferry you can start your break required by law.
The crossing can also be used as resting time for your driver, who receives a coffee or soft drink as well as the dish of the day or a sandwich for free on board of the FRS Syltferries.
The FRS Syltferries "RömöExpress" and "SyltExpress" travel between Havneby on Römö and List on Sylt up to 32 times a day. Early birds take the first ferry at 5:15 am. In summer, the last ferry leaves for Römö at 9 pm. So there is also time for cargo in the evening.
The car ferries are a particularly inexpensive way to reach Sylt. Our prices for semi-trucks, sprinters, vans, heavy haulage etc. can be found here our on special request. All accompanying persons are already included in the price. A reservation is free of charge. On board the necessary break by law is started.
What do I have to consider when traveling to Sylt by truck?
The fastest and most convenient way to buy a ticket is by calling or emailing your customer number. The driver shows the ticket at the ticket counter. With a reservation it goes directly on board. Our staff will assign a parking space to the driver. Parking is simple and straightforward. During the crossing, the vehicle must be abandoned. For safety reasons it is not allowed to stay in the vehicle during the crossing. The hygiene concept on board ensures a safe crossing.
An announcement is made, when the car decks may be re-entered. Leaving the car ferry is as eay as boarding. The driver does not have to maneuver, but simply drives forward onto the island.

Are there restrictions in case of strong wind?
FRS Syltfähre transports semitrailers, sprinters, vans, heavy transports, etc. even in strong winds. There are no restrictions for the safety of cargo and passengers.
What documents do I need for the crossing to Sylt?
For entry into Denmark, the driver and all passengers need a valid identity card or passport and the loading papers.
For the crossing with the FRS Syltfähre a ticket is required. You can book the ticket for your drivers in advance by phone or by mail. All you need is your customer number and the reservation is quick and easy. Your driver can also buy the ticket directly at the ticket office on site.

Do I have to book online or can I also cross spontaneously with the FRS Syltfähre?
Your riders can also spontaneously buy a ticket at the ticket office. However, with a free online reservation you enjoy a take-away guarantee without waiting times. We have never left anyone standing at the pier and so rebookings can also be made free of charge at short notice.
How does the payment work?
How to make a payment
We add your company to our client base. The easiest way to pay is via direct debit - that is, we will debit the travel costs directly from your company account, and so your driver will not need to carry cash.
How long before departure should the driver be at the pier?
Your driver should arrive at the pier 20-40 minutes before departure. After showing the ticket, it goes directly on board - with a reservation withot any waiting time.
What happens if I am too early/too late?
FRS Syltfähre has never "left" anyone standing. If there is space on the ship, we also take semitrailers, sprinters, vans, etc. on board earlier or later than planned.
Does the crossing count as a rest period?
The 40-minute crossing with the FRS Syltferry is considered a legally required break for drivers. Your driver receives a free coffee or soft drink and a daily meal or sandwich on board the FRS Syltferries.
Where can I find the nearest gas station?
Directly on Sylt in List there is a Star gas station.
