The "RömöExpress" runs with the modern, environmentally friendly LNG-drive. LNG stands for Liquefied Natural Gas, a liquid natural gas cooled down to -162°C and is an environmentally-friendly alternative to conventional marine diesel. LNG makes it possible to reduce nitrogen oxides and sulphur oxides by over 90% , carbon dioxides by approx. 20% in the exhaust gases, and even to completely avoid fine dust emissions.
The maximum height for vehicles on the lower deck (main deck) of the RömöExpress is 1,90 m.
