With your reservation, you drive directly on board - without waiting time, manoeuvring and the frustration of traffic jams. There is plenty of space on our parking decks to comfortably drive on and off the boat.

The FRS Syltfähre departs from Havneby harbour on the Danish island of Rømø. Make the motorbike, quad or trike ride through a little piece of Denmark part of your trip: Feast on a hot dog at the border and enjoy the view while driving over the toll-free car causeway from the Danish mainland to the island of Rømø!
In Havneby, you'll be spoilt for choice: board the ferry directly or enjoy the charming fishing village with restaurants and small shops? You can park your motorbike directly at the harbour.
Our FRS Sylt ferries "RömöExpress" and "SyltExpress" shuttle up to 32 times daily between Havneby on Römö and List on Sylt. In summer, the last ferry departs for Römö at 9 pm. This way you can enjoy Sylt particularly long.
Prices
The car ferry is a particularly cheap way to reach Sylt. Our prices for two-wheelers are divided into the categories motorbikes and motorbikes with sidecars or trikes. Mopeds up to 50 cm travel at a lower price. Driver and passenger are already included in the price. A reservation of the ferry is free of charge.
What do I have to bear in mind when travelling to Sylt by motorbike?
The most convenient way to buy a ticket is online. However, you can also buy your ticket directly on site at the ticket counter. Please show your booking confirmation at the ticket counter. Our employees will assign you a parking space. Parking is simple and straightforward. You must leave the parking deck during the crossing. An announcement will tell you when you may re-enter the parking decks. Leaving the car ferry is just as easy as driving on board. You don't have to manoeuvre, just drive forward onto the island.
What documents do I need for the crossing to Sylt?
To enter Denmark, you need a valid identity card or passport.
You need a ticket for the crossing with the FRS Sylt ferry. You can book your ticket conveniently online or buy it directly at the ticket office. We recommend a free reservation via our online booking.
How often does the ferry depart?

Do I have to book online or can I also travel spontaneously with the FRS Syltfähre?
You can also buy a ticket spontaneously at the ticket counter. However, with a free pitch reservation, you enjoy a guaranteed ride without waiting times.
I am travelling in a group. Can we stand together?
If you come on board with a group of several motorbikes, our employees will ensure that you get a shared parking space. For larger groups, advance booking is recommended.
Can I stay on the motorbike during the crossing to Sylt?
For safety reasons, it is not permitted to remain on the parking decks during the crossing. The hygiene concept on board ensures a safe crossing. You can find more information about our hygiene and safety concept here.
How long before departure do I have to be at the pier?
Plan to arrive at the pier 20-40 minutes before departure. After you have shown your booking confirmation, you will go directly on board.
What dimensions may my motorbike have?
There are no size limits for motorbikes on board the FRS Syltfähre.
Do passengers cost extra?
Passengers are already included in the price of the crossing.
Are there any restrictions on luggage bags?
Your luggage bags can remain on the motorbike during the crossing. There are no restrictions or surcharges.
Can I take a trailer with me?

What happens if I am too early/too late?
The FRS Syltfähre has never "left anyone standing". If there is space, you can also board earlier or later than planned.
Can I make duty-free purchases on the trip?
You can shop duty-free in the Travel Value Shop on board the "SyltExpress". A selection of products is also available on the "RömöExpress".
Are pets allowed on the ferry to Sylt?
Your four-legged friends are welcome on board. They do not need to be registered. Dogs travelling in the sidecar travel free of charge. During the crossing, you and your leashed pet may stay on the open deck and in the saloon. Please note the Danish regulations on the entry of dogs.
Are there restaurants on board?
On board the FRS Syltfähre you will find restaurants with GOSCH products as well as other dishes and a rich selection of drinks.
Is it allowed to smoke on board the FRS Syltfähre?
There are areas for smokers on the FRS Syltfähre on the outside decks.
Is there parking for motorbikes at Havneby harbour?

Where can I find the nearest petrol stations?
There is a petrol station shortly after the car causeway to the island of Rømø. On Sylt you will find one not far from the ferry pier (approx. 300 m).
